Many manufacturers will sell direct to retail stores and online stores. However, many times, most major manufacturers will have dealer requirements such as minimum purchases and inventory requirements when selling direct to dealers, resellers and retail stores, online or off. |
And this is where distributors come in handy for small and new businesses just starting off and looking to carry no inventory at all as most distributors are more than willing to sell and drop-ship one item at a time instead of requiring minimum purchases as is the case with most major manufacturers.
